The preparation, characterization, and antibacterial activity evaluation of nanoliposomes incorporated with terebinth extract

Nanoliposomes are drug release systems that increase bioavailability and used for encapsulation of therapeutic active ingredients. Terebinth, which is a medicinal plant grows in many parts Türkiye, has antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activity. The antibacterial activity nanoliposomes incorporated with ethanol extract terebinth leaves (TLE) was investigated to determine the effects formulation. nanoliposome formulation prepared two steps were high pressure intensity homogenization techniques. Characterization parameters (zeta potential, particle size distribution, polydispersity index, efficiency) determined. After third cycle microfluidization, zeta potential charge dispersion measured -66.6 mV 91.13 nm size. PDI 0.231. Also, efficiency calculated as 91.90%. TLE encapsulated their examined by disk diffusion minimum inhibition concentration tests against Escherichia coli ATTC 25922 Staphylococcus aureus 25923. Nanoliposome (NLTLE) S.
